The Fabulous Three

Tricia and Nathan

When Darrell and I were pregnant with baby Ella, we would linger in bed on Saturday mornings and talk about all the things that we couldn't wait for once she arrived. This became the norm for us, especially in my later months, and the one thing that we thought about the most was the fact that we couldn't wait for the days where we could linger in bed on Saturday mornings with our baby girl in between us, relishing in her scent and warmth. This is for you two.

These are the things that I can't wait for you to experience.

Being able to be the one to jump up and comfort your precious girl when she needs you.

Making her laugh.

Showing her off at church.

Falling asleep with her in your arms, and taking long naps with her.

Teaching her to talk.

Taking her for long walks in her stroller.

Hearing her say "Mama" and "Dada", and eventually "I love you."

Getting in the floor with her to play with her toys.

Enduring thirty minutes (eventually more and more as she gets older) of Barney a day just because it makes her happy.

Teaching her to love animals as you do.

Filling out her baby book.

Going shopping for her first Christmas.

Reading to her.

Dressing her up just to take pictures of her.

Looking down at her while she's reaching up at you, with a smile and a look in her eyes that says she loves you to the moon and back.

Keeping her warm against you after a nice bath, and smelling the fragrance of her hair in your face.

Watching her every move as she discovers a million little things that you never imagined, before, could have held her attention.

Feeling like a frump ball, but hearing your child tell you that you are the most beautiful mommy in the world.

Watching to see how your pets interact with her, and eventually, vice versa.

Feeling that ache in your heart when she falls for the first time, upon becoming a new walker, and running to her rescue.

Watching as she uses her tiny fingers to pick up the tiniest little things buried into your carpet that couldn't have possibly be seen at average adult height, and that obviously wasn't sucked up by your vacuum.

Replacing that stinking vacuum. >:0)

The excitement you feel when she first begins to recognize you when you walk into a room.

Singing her to sleep.

Singing to make her happy/dance.

Being enveloped in more emotion, than ever before imaginable, through every milestone, holiday, family gathering, and doctor's visit.

Receiving millions upon millions of baby kisses. They're the absolute best!

Growing as your baby grows.

Learning to view the world in a way that only your child can teach you to.

And last, but not least, praying all together as a family. The fabulous three! There is nothing more precious than hearing your child talking to God.

Blessings to you guys. Always, always praying.

Relishing in His goodness...
