One Moment in Time

I thought I'd utilize this blog to benefit my own memory (seeing as how my memory has gone bonkersville upon nearing the end of my twenties), and blog the things that I never want to forget.

I was in my seventh month of pregnancy with Ella, in September of 2006, as I stood beside a piano with three other people at the front of our church. I sang to the Lord with all of my heart, and the harmonies that were expelled amongst our little group, along with the piano's sweet melodies sent goose bumps shooting from the top of my head down to my feet. I was drawn into the simplistic beauty of it all. Ella moved around, as we both felt the Spirit move inside of us.

Hillsong United

Still

Hide me now
Under your wings
Cover me
Within Your mighty hands

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with You, above the storm
Father, You are king over the flood
I will be still and know You are God

Find rest my soul, in Christ alone
Know His power, in quietness and trust

Today, the voices that sing that song with me are a little different. They are the young voices of my six year old son and my eight year old daughter. Since that September day in 06, that song has become one of the most requested "good night" songs by Lindsey and Gabey. The Spirit of the Lord remains the same. Flowing out of the mouths of my babes, and always lifting me up. Praises be to God for His many blessings.

Relishing in His goodness...

it is amazing to hear children just sing their little hearts out to praise him.
