Third Grade Project

Every mom, who has a child in third grade or just elementary in general, knows that when her child is assigned a project she is also assigned to that very same project. I'm such a horrible procrastinator. That is one of my biggest flaws. I know this about myself. We started on the project, which was to be a box/mock float decorated with Georgia facts, two days before it was due. Yes! I know how horrible that is. We pulled it off, however, and I'm breathing easy until the next project assignment.

When I picked Lindsey up, she couldn't stop telling us about how proud she was of her box. Her teacher loved it, and shared it with other classes in the school. I am not exactly excited when my kids have projects because creativity isn't something that just runs freely through my mind, but I have so much fun working with my kids on things like this. I am always amazed at my children's ability to have such extraordinary imaginations, and the creative capacity to do anything. I don't know who learns from whom more. Me or them. >:0)
