Tune-full Tuesday

I'm one of those crazy music lovers whom, while watching a show or movie, tunes out what the characters are saying, to listen to lyrics of a song when it begins to play. I soak em up, and end up missing a good piece of whatever I'm watching. This is how I found this particular song last night. It took me a minute to find out what it was called and who sang it. She is a new artist....very new. The only videos I was able to find of her on youtube were homemade videos. Her name is Lindsey Ray. She has a unique voice. Relaxing, beautiful, and happy. She has done ads for Target, and different television shows such as Ghost Whisperer (which is where I heard this particular song...the song was featured on last weeks new episode.) and Sorority Wars. I'm thinking that before long, she's going to be "big". I can't wait to find her CD and buy it on up. Nothing wrong with happy tunes. My tune-full pick is called Float Away. The lyrics couldn't be more perfect, and could even be considered religious depending on who you would consider the keeper of your own heart.

You don't have to have myspace to listen to her songs. When you get to her playlist (which is at the top right), click on Float Away. Enjoy.

Float Away

Seasons change
Treetops sway
I am young today
Children play sidewalk games
as I dream away

That someday I'll float away
over the sunrise
and leave this whole crazy world behind
I'll head straight for the stars
Somewhere on the way
I know I'll meet ya
and carry on with your hand in mine
cuz you're the keeper of my heart

Flowers bloom sweet perfume
and I think of you
Birds of blue sing in tune
and I know it's true

That someday I'll float away
over the sunrise
and leave this whole crazy world behind
I'll head straight for the stars
Somewhere on the way
I know I'll meet ya
and carry on with your hand in mine
cuz you're the keeper of my heart

Someday I'll float away
over the sunrise
and leave this whole crazy world behind
I'll head straight for the stars
Somewhere on the way
I know I'll meet ya
and carry on with your hand in mine
We'll head straight for the stars
The keeper of my heart
You're the keeper of my heart

Relishing in His goodness...
