Yes, I am....

At three, Ella is becoming more vocal and, boy, does she come up with some good stuff. She recently began asking, "Are you happy, mommy?". She asks this at least ten times a day. I never grow tired of this question. The first time she asked, her face was so expectant of an answer that she hoped would be positive. I nearly forgot she was only three. These little things that make my heart melt. Sweet blessings. Naturally, I answered, "Yes, I'm very happy. Are you happy?" She responded by referring to herself in third person, which is typical of her and probably most three year olds. This is something that I happen to love about her. She answered very casually, "Yeah. Ella happy. Is Daddy happy, too?" The conversation continued on this way until I had confirmed that every person in our family, as well as every persons name whom Ella could say was, indeed, happy. Her smile got bigger and bigger with each promised, "Yes" that I produced.

For the past couple of weeks I've been reading my old posts, from start to finish. The good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly. The Lord has been my shield, my comforter, my friend, my Father, and my saving grace through it all. I am thankful for all I've been given. Including the bad and the ugly. I can't imagine that I'd be as grateful as I am without it all. Without Him.

This is my 100th post. Not sure if that's a huge deal or not. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me, but I feel blessed to have all 100 posts to look back on. The good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly.

I have the joy of the Lord in my heart. I am filled with His Holy Spirit. He's brought me through the bad and the ugly with my sanity intact, and rejoiced with me through the good and beautiful. My one true constant.

"Yes! I am happy, my sweet girl. Mommy is so, so happy."

I pray that if you are reading this today, you are able to say with absolute certainty that you are filled with joy despite everything. I pray that you know your Creator and are filled with His Holy Spirit, and praise His name even in adversity. Praying that you let your light shine bright enough for the world to see and help to make a difference in even the smallest ways. Praying that you, like me, are happy.

Faith makes all things makes all things easy.~Unknown

Relishing in His goodness...

What a simple question that can bring out so much. I'm going to ask people this today.

Asking 'How are you' we naturally reply 'fine' but what if someone were to really think how they really are or how they really feel. We might find some people who are needing prayer.

Parsley-I love your way of thinking. Such a great idea. I hope that the Lord used you to, indeed, find those who were in need of prayer. :0)

T.O.G.-I find it hard to type out your blog name. Hopefully, the initials will do. :0) Thanks for stopping by and leaving a kind comment. I look forward to checking out your blog, in which I think I'll do right now.....
