He makes all things New

Be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead!- I Peter 1:6

What a wonderful sense of assurance for this new year! There is joy ahead. I say Amen to that.

Today, we are celebrating at home. Just our little (while sometimes feeling much larger than not!) family unit. We've got a ham cooking, as well as black eyed peas (The peas cooking have nothing to do with the old superstition, and all to do with the fact that my husband LOVES them with ham.).

Last night we opted out of celebrating with friends (but we appreciated the invite nonetheless) and, instead, had "family night". We played a few rounds of Sorry before heading out to catch a late movie. We made it home just in time to watch the Georgia Peach drop (literally within three minutes of our arrival home!). Just enough time to gather hand-in-hand in prayer to say goodbye to 2009, and thank God for the memories we made and the blessings received, as well as for the ones that are to come. Best New Years Eve I've had yet! I hope that my kiddos remember times like that when they are older. :0)

How did you ring in the new year? How are you celebrating today? I pray that in 2010 the Lord uses you to bless, and be blessed! :0)

Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. 3 John 1:2

Relishing in His goodness...

Glad you got the package. I had hoped you'd like it. Did it have a battery already?

WOW! Sounds like ya'll had a wonderful New Year's Eve. We stayed at home as well, just enjoyed being a family unit, as you put it (I LIKE IT!) lol and then popped some firecrackers after midnight. Oh, I also wrote on my blog!..hehe :-)

So glad that I was blessed with another year of being your friend, although, you are more like a sister to me. I praise God for all He has put into my life, whether it be people or situations.

Here's to another wonderful decade..cheers! (Allie makes this toast while lifting up her can of Diet Dr.Pepper) :-)

BTW: I think I fixed the blog comment security, so try again. :-)

Parsley-I didn't open the back to see if there was a battery, but I did read that the original battery was not designed to last long. I'll get one soon, because I LOVE my new watch and the fact that I can wear it with anything! You are the best!

Allie-lifting up my glass of sweet tea in cheers to you, as well! :0)
