Eleven

Eleven years ago, today, I stared in awe at the most beautiful face I'd ever seen. The face of my first born child. Plump cheeks and soft lips. Her tiny tongue moving about to alert the world that she was ready to nurse and thrive. At just twenty, an instinct I never knew existed took over, and I cared for and loved this new child more than I had anything before her. The Lord has blessed me with three children. Lindsey being the first to make me a mother. The past eleven years have been full of many blessed milestones. I've watched my baby, a small 6 pounds 2 ounces at birth, transform into the tender-hearted young lady that she is today. Compassionate, eager to learn, artistic, music loving, thoughtful, intelligent, beautiful Lindsey. Eleven years have flown by!

My precious Lindsey,

What an adventure we've been on! I've loved you from the very second I knew that you existed inside of me. The thought of nearly losing you during pregnancy is, obviously, quite unfathomable now as you were meant to make it into this big bright world you've always been so inquisitive about. Each day, with you, has been an honor and a blessing. Seeing the world through your eyes is an amazing gift that I hope to always appreciate...never taking a single moment for granted. Thank you for being you. My little ray of sunshine! Thank God for creating you and choosing me to be your mother. I am so proud of you. I love you to pieces, my sweet girl. Happy eleventh birthday! Praying you find the Lord's abundant blessings upon you today and always. xoxo

Relishing in His goodness...
