Old and New...and a Sea of Blue.

This is the LORD'S doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. Psalm 118:23

The past few weeks have been quite an adventure! The weather had (the cold front came in...it's a little chilly out this week!) been too beautiful to waste any extra time at home. We've been on two relaxing trips to Callaway Gardens.
Ella found a neato tricycle in the toddler play area on one of our trips there. That place has EVERYTHING!
I can't wait for the azaleas to bloom! And the herbs and veggies in Mr. Cason's vegetable garden! The view of the mountains in the veggie garden are beautiful!
This is a picture of Lindsey and Gabriel in Mr. Cason's Garden in 2007. :0)

We also visited the Georgia Aquarium for the first time. That was quite an experience!

The belugas were my absolute favorite. They seemed so happy and carefree, swimming around in circles. Each time they'd swim past the observation window, they'd rub their back against it (as pictured above). I'm assuming they enjoyed the way the smooth glass felt against their bodies. They were absolutely beautiful!

Because Ella was in such awe of the beluga whales, Darrell asked her if she wanted to swim with them. She replied quite seriously, "My mommy got me a bathing suit at home.". :0)

From the jellies to the whale sharks, our trip to the Georgia Aquarium was amazing! It completely exceeded my expectations. They are adding a new dolphin exhibit! Can't wait to see that!

Because the World of Coca-Cola is located within walking distance of the aquarium, we visited there, as well.

In the "tasting room", you are able to try Coca-Cola products from all around the world. I LOVED this room. Not only was it a neat experience learning how drinks in other countries differ from our own, but the bonding experience between total strangers learning, tasting, laughing or gagging was simply fab-o. We met a family from China whom had flocked to the area that "housed" the fountain drink from their country. I enjoyed talking to them about their favorite drink back home. While my taste differed from their own, I LOVED having that conversation and learning something new.
This was my favorite "foriegn drink". It tasted like a cherry coke with a hint of Dr. Pepper.

A word to the wise...never drink anything your husband tells you to try in the World of Coca-Cola tasting room. Especially if it's this drink!

Unless, of course, you enjoy the taste of carbonated Robitussin chased with the bitter taste of a non chewable aspirin! He very seldom gets me. When he does, though, it's usually a doozy. This one, was a REAL doozy. Blech!!!

The trip to Atlanta was a blessing...but it called for one exhausted four year old. She didn't want to leave the fish, and cried on our long hike through Atlanta to get back to our car. I told Darrell that I bet she would be asleep before we left the Atl.
