Postponing and Measuring Up

Closing on the house has been postponed. Someone attempted to steal the air conditioning unit (Seriously, enough with you copper wire thieves!) , and the loan office will not move forward with the closing until the bank has the unit replaced.
So, that's that...until we get some news, I have no idea when we'll be closing. And I'm okay with that. Really, I am. I don't want to move my babies into a home that is ill equipped to providing a cooling/heating system! Buying a home is no easy feat! That's for certain!

On to baby news! I saw the specialist today, and had my monthly ultrasound. Jacob is measuring an estimated 5lbs. 10oz. at just 33 weeks. Of course, those measurements aren't usually precise. However, because of this grand estimation, she is predicting that he may have to be delivered as early as 37 weeks. It's not a guarantee! Just an assumption, at this point. I have another ultrasound scheduled for September 26th. She said that she would determine where we'll go from there, based on his measurements at that time.

This is new to me! The possibility of having a larger baby, that is (She's estimating that even as early as 37 weeks, he could be up to nine pounds!). Gabriel was an average size at 7.5 pounds, but the girls were each six pounds and under. This has been, by far, the BEST pregnancy I've ever had. The specialist made my heart smile, while explaining to me this precious phenomenon. ""This is the healthiest you've ever been in pregnancy! You've done amazing! This is his body's way of saying, "Hey mom! We're doing great!"." That statement summed up one very important detail for me....it's an answered prayer! Until now, I've truly never known what it was like to have a normal/healthy pregnancy. I feel so blessed! I can't wait to see my Jacob, who already has a head full of hair, I might add! Oh, praise You, Father!

View of the back of his head. The white spikes are his hair. :0)

33 weeks gestation

Thou hast given so much to me,
Give one thing more, - a grateful heart;
Not thankful when it pleaseth me,
As if Thy blessings had spare days,
But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.

I can not believe someone has attempted to steal the AC unit. They must know of the house being empty there and are targeting empty homes. We have never seen any form of issues here. I can understand the postponement of the closing and I agree with you it isn't worth getting upset over. I hope the bank works with you and resolves this issue promptly!

Yeah, it's been a pain! It's in God's hands. What will be will be. I'm so close to having the baby, that I'm done worrying about that house. It's been a nightmare!
