Made with Love

I'm blessed! So, so blessed! I've got some of the sweetest, most thoughtful friends a girl could ask for.

Methinks it is a token of healthy and gentle characteristics, when women of high thoughts and accomplishments love to knit; especially as they are never more at home with their own hearts than while so occupied. ~Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Marble Faun, 1859

I opened my mailbox to a little surprise today. My pal, Mindy, sent a very special homemade gift for Jacob.

This couldn't have come at a better time, as there is a chill in the air and my little guy has grown out of all of his baby hats! It wasn't long before it's coziness took effect and.... sweet dreams under a toboggan made with love. :0)

Mindy, my sweet pal....You knitting guru, you! This is precious! You are so talented and thoughtful! I appreciate this sweet gift, and our ten year friendship, more than you know. Thank you, so much, for making this for our Jacob and for sending it our way. Always thinking and praying for you and your family!

For those of you reading (who are not Mindy, btw), I kindly ask you all to pray for my sweet Mindy and her family. Mindy is pregnant with her fourth baby (It's a BOY!!!) and due on Valentine's Day! She is the proud and loving wife of a soldier who's scheduled to leave for Afghanistan close to her due date. Pray that the baby comes before Daddy has to leave...not to mention for his daddy's safety so that they may be reunited again. Pray also for Mindy as she cares for their four children while he's away. Pray for her health in the remainder of this pregnancy...and if you're like me, you'll pray that her husband won't have to take that tour overseas after all! :0)
Thank you, Lord, for kindness and for thoughtfulness. Thank you, Lord, for sweet friends!

Relishing in His goodness....
