In our little portion of the world, flowers are in bloom and abundant. Vibrant colors of pinks, yellows, greens, purples, reds, and blues decorate this tiny town beautifully. Bees are buzzing, and wasps are pesky. The birds can be heard chirping, literally, 24/7. The sweet fragrant deliciousness of honeysuckle can be smelled all around us. Which, by the way, makes for riding with your car window down a treat!

My tummy is expanding, and movement can be felt inside as my baby grows under the watchful eye of our Father. And as these precious miracles occur, my littlest one gets more excited about "her baby". Asking to feel my tummy...not quite ready to talk to the baby, however. Gabriel is hopeful that the baby is a boy, and Lindsey is just in awe of the entire thing. My sweet Darrell rubs my tummy while going to the Lord in prayer, full of praise, which makes my heart simply melt. At 16 weeks, I'm feeling pretty good. Not extremely glamorous, as this is my sixth pregnancy and my uterus is fairly quick to expand earlier than it would have in my first pregnancy. I am short waisted, as well, and am already feeling some pressure on an organ or two. Not to mention, it's already pretty stinkin hot down here! I think the Summer is going to be a doozy! HOWEVER, none of these things matter and are completely tolerable, because I'm feeling so very blessed! I have an ultrasound on June 3, and praying (Hey! Pray along with me! Thanks, so much!) that the sonographer will be able to determine the gender at that visit, as we have no desire to have a baby shower this time around, and are so very anxious to buy gender specific things to prepare for this little one's arrival. :0) This month, my cravings have been minimal. Cuties (true to their name, they are cute little oranges that are kid friendly as they are seedless and so SUPER easy to peel...and sweet to boot!) became a staple at the beginning of April. If you haven't tried them, I strongly recommend them, and not simply because I'm pregnant and crave them in my sleep! They are delicious! Aside from these, cantaloupe! Cold cubed cantaloupe. Mmmm.

Easter was spent with my husband's side of the family, which was a first for us, as we broke tradition by not celebrating at my mom's house. The Lord's blessings were abundant, as we all relished in our time together! It's rare that we are all able to get together at one time, as my sister-in-law lives out of state. It's such a treat when we all do get together. I spent lots of time holding my two super cute nephews. We had a yummy spread of food. The babes hunted Easter eggs, and decorated cookies. Best of all, it was the first time I've seen Aunt Chris smile so much, in so many years! I was pleased to discover that she has joined a Bible study group! She took care of Uncle Dale, diligently, for so long and until he passed away. I'm thrilled she's able to take care of herself spiritually.

The happiest moments of my life have been the few which I have passed at home in the bosom of my family.
