My sweet boy came into the house, a proud smile adorning his face, as he walked over to me with one hand behind his back.
"I have a surprise for you, Mama."
And then he presented me with a tiny bouquet of colorful weeds that he so lovingly picked for his Mama. He stared into my smiling face, with so much love, for me, upon his own.
I live for moments and days such as these. This tiny bouquet of weeds are far better than anything that could be bought in a store. They keep me afloat. My children. They keep me living and thriving. They are the reasons I fought so hard to survive that hospital stay, nine months ago. I don't know what I did to deserve such precious people, but I'm forever grateful.
